Galea Shipping’s Summer Employees – Patricia and Niklas

This summer, Galea Shipping is delighted to welcome Patricia and Niklas, who both bring fresh skills and energy to the team.

Patricia works as a key link between ports, vessels, and shipowners, ensuring that port calls run smoothly and according to schedule. What has surprised her most is the variety of tasks: “It’s rewarding to see the results of my work when vessels arrive in port. Visiting ships and meeting people from all over the world make the job especially interesting.” In her free time, Patricia enjoys spending time in nature, traveling during the summer, and snowboarding in the winter.

Niklas is an experienced seafarer who has spent nearly a decade at sea, including working as Chief Officer. He is now completing his Master’s degree in Maritime Management while working as a Ship Agent at Galea Shipping in Vuosaari. “Being a Ship Agent is diverse and requires the ability to perform under pressure and communicate effectively with different stakeholders – skills I’ve honed throughout my years at sea.” Outside of work, Niklas is passionate about sports and enjoys spending time with friends.
